Professor Dr. B. Sooryanarayana teaches Engineering Mathematics for different branches of Under Graduation (UG) and Post Graduation (PG) courses and also expertise in teaching elective topic of Applied Mathematics for Master of Technology (M. Tech) courses. His teaching is very well appreciated by the entire student community of the institution. His contribution towards teaching has resulted in the conferment of “Best Mathematics professor Award” during 2022 and “Best performer Award” by Dr. AIT during 2023. Dr. B. Sooryanarayana is a dedicated, internationally known researcher in Discrete Mathematics and Combinatorics. He has made notable contributions in the field of Applicable Mathematics and in particular in the field of Combinatorial Graph Theory. His research articles are published in highly reputed national and international refereed journals having good impact factor. The research work is focused upon interdisciplinary topics involving Mathematics, Computer Science and Electronics Engineering. Recognizing his contribution in the research, “The Vision Group of Science and Technology”, Government of Karnataka awarded the “BEST PUBLICATION AWARD” in 2017-2018 for his best scientific research publications. He has guided students for their doctoral degree, 18 students are already awarded the PhD degree and other 02 students are pursuing for their Ph.D under Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Also, he has guided 04 students for their M.Phil degree under other Universities. He has published more than 7 text books in various field of Mathematics and Computer Science. Because of his expertise and command over the subject he is invited to deliver technical lectures at national and international organizations. In recognition of his excellent academic and research records he has been nominated as reviewer for American Mathematical Society Reviews, and for various national and international reputed journals.
