As per the guidelines of the VTU a 10 day Induction Programme for Students was organized in the institution from 11th to 21st September, 2023 (Phase I). The main aim of the induction program is to inculcate healthy moral values for the overall development of the student fraternity. 

September 11th 2023

The Induction Programme for Students 2023-24 was inaugurated on 11th September by Dr. Meenakshi, Principal of Dr. AIT, Bengaluru and gave the session on presentation about the college at 10:30AM - 11:30AM. Then came the session from Dr. T. R. Shashipriya, Head of the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences on the importance of induction programme at 11:45AM - 12:45PM. Later students went to campus tour from 2PM - 4PM.

September 12th 2023

The first session was on the topic Yoga and Meditation: A need in the education for youth that was held by Heartfulness Yoga Centre, Bengaluru at 10AM - 11AM. The second session was on NCC- Role of students and Status in higher education given by team NCC at 11:30AM - 12:30PM. The afternoon session was held by Dr. B. S. Shylaja, Professor of ISE dept, Dr. AIT on Monitoring system: Code of conduct of the college at 2PM - 3PM. 

September 13th 2023

The morning session started with the Academics and importance that was rendered by Dr. K. N. Anuradha who is the Dean (Academics) of Dr. AIT at 10AM - 11AM. The next session was on Complete your formal education with knowledge, skills and attitude that was spoken on by Dr. Prathima, Professor, MSRIT, Bengaluru at 11:30AM - 12:30PM. The next session in the afternoon was done by Sripad Bhat, writer who spoke on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Constituition of India which was organised by Ambedkar Study center, Dr. AIT at 2PM - 3PM.

September 14th 2023

The first session was on the Highlights on Industry Institution Interaction and Start Ups that was rendered by Dr. Gowrishankar S, Dean (III) of Dr. AIT at 10AM - 11AM. The second session was on the Assesment and Evaluation that was spoken on by Dr.Ramesh S, Dean (Examination) of Dr. AIT at 11:30AM - 12:30PM. The afternoon session was on National Service Scheme: A part of higher education at 2PM - 3PM given by NSS team- Dr. Murali R and Dr. G. S. Shivaprasanna, faculty of Mathematics dept, Dr. AIT. The last session was on Health camp for new comers which was associated with G. M. Hospital and was handled by Dr. S. K. Rajendra and Dr. Mohan Kumar B, faculty of Dr. AIT at 3PM - 4PM.

September 15th 2023

The morning session began with the Research and Development- an important part of Higher education given by Dr. G. V. Jayaramaiah, Dean (R & D), Dr. AIT at 11:30AM - 12:30PM. The next session in the afternoon was on Quality Assurance at 2PM - 3PM given by Dr. Mahalinga V Mandi, Professor and head of ECE dept, Dr. AIT. The next session was done by the Shivanna, librarian of Dr. AIT on Information center and facilities at 3PM - 4PM.

September 16th 2023

The morning session started with exhibiting the various talents of the students like paintings, drawings, dance and singing forms of art under Students Talent Show from 10AM - 1PM. The afternoon session was on NGO activities held with the association of Katalyst at 2PM - 3PM  which was coordinated by Ms. Yashaswini M.

September 17th 2023

As an activity based programme called Social responsibilities, students should visit some orphanage, old age homes or interact with patients in a hospital. Students were supposed to write a report of their activity with photograph and submit.

September 19th 2023

The morning session of the day started with Career guidance by the Placement Officer Dr. R. Murali, Professor, dept. of Mathematics, Dr. AIT at 10AM - 11AM. The second session was on Programme Objectives and Programme Specific Objectives by Dr. Ganapathi V Sagar, Professor and head of ETE dept, Dr. AIT at 11:30AM - 12:30PM. The next session was on Prohibition of Ragging and Grievance Redressal Mechanism by Dr. T. N. Raju, Student Welfare Officer, Dr. AIT at 2PM – 3PM.

September 20th 2023

The morning session on this day was on Role of UHV for betterment of life by Ms. Meena, BIT, Bengaluru at 10AM - 11AM. The day’s second session was on Incubation and Enterpreneurship by Dr. Ram Prasad and Dr. Vishwanath, MSME, Dr. AIT at 11AM – 12PM. The next session was on the topic Physical fitness and Education by Dr. Thilak, Sports Authority of India at 12PM – 1PM. The afternoon session was on Creative Practices by Dr. Vijaya, Professor and head of Civil Engineering dept, Dr. AIT at 2PM – 3PM.

September 21st 2023

The first session was on Essential Skills for Engineers by Dr. Radha, KSEEM, Bengaluru at 10AM - 11AM. The second session was on Outcome based and Choice based education that was rendered by Dr. Meenakshi, Principal of Dr. AIT at 11AM – 12PM. The third session was on Time management- A necessary component in Higher education by Ms. Aparna Mahesh, a freelancer, Bengaluru 12PM – 1PM. Later report submission and feedback from the students was held at 2PM – 3PM. The induction programme of phase-I ended with the valedictory function at 3PM.
