Team Saranyu Racing of Dr. A.I.T Motorsports club comprising of 22 students from departments of Mechanical, Aeronautical, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Computer Science & Business Studies participated in FFS India Competition at Kumarguru Institution, Coimbatore from 18 - 24 October, 2024.

Team Saranyu Racing won 3 Prizes in the following categories:

1. First Position in Cost report presentation 

2. First Position in Sales report presentation 

3. Second Position in Design presentation 

Team Vajra comprising of students from Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering & Computer Science Engineering, designed and fabricated Single Seater Electric Bike and participated in SAE - ETWDC held at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai on 17, 18 -02-2024.               

Team Vajra won 2nd place in the design category and 4th place in the overall team standings of the competition.

The project titled “ Self balancing e-scooter” designed and fabricated by Prakruthi R Swamy - 1DA20ME434, Rakshith Prem M -  1DA20ME438, suraj U K - 1DA20ME451 & Vikas H M - 1DA20ME458, under the guidance of S K Jagadeesh, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, won 13th place in NAMTECH Makers Challenge Competition, organized by NAMTECH, IIT-Gujarat Campus, Gujarat. The team members were offered 100% scholarship for doing International Professional Masters in Smart Manufacturing at NAMTECH, IIT-Gujarat Campus, Gujarat.

Team Vajra comprising of students from Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering & Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, designed and fabricated Single Seater Electric Bike and participated in CEPHEUS - 2023, Annual Tech Fest organized by IIT-Goa and co- sponsored by Ather.               

Team Vajra won 2nd place in the competition and got appreciation for good maneuverability and range design for the electric bike.

Team Vajra comprising of students from Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering & Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, designed and fabricated Single Seater Electric Bike and participated in SAE - ETWDC held at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai on 21, 22 -07-2023.               

Team Vajra won 1st place in the design category and 5th place in the overall team standings of the competition.

The project titled “ DESIGN OPTIMISATION & DEVELOPMENT OF MONOWHEEL BIKE” carried out by C V K SAI JAGADISH (1DA15ME021) , CHIRANJEEVI R B (1DA15ME026), MANOJ S (1DA18ME064), NAGESH (1DA18ME068) guided by Prof.S K Jagadeesh, Associate Professor, Dept. of ME., was awarded 2nd Prize at the V.T.U. Education Conclave 2022, held on 31 July'22 and 1 Aug' 22 at Gayathri Vihar, Palace Grounds, Bangalore.
